The Trailer For ‘The Monuments Men’ Has An ‘Oceans 11’ Meets WWII Kind Of Vibe

If you thought that yesterday’s star-studded trailer for Ridley Scott’s and Cormac McCarthy’s The Counselor was great, then you might also find this new trailer for The Monuments Men pretty darn intriguing as well. Starring the slightly naïve George Clooney, The Monuments Men is based on the true story of a team of men tasked with rescuing artwork and artifacts from Hitler and the Nazis during World War II.

In the film, Clooney puts together a team that includes Matt Damon (who replaced Daniel Craig), Bill Murray, John Goodman and Bob Balaban – Cate Blanchett and Jean Dujardin are also there – and you can go ahead and just take my $12 right now, Columbia Pictures. The Monuments Men hits theaters on December 18, even though Ashton Kutcher probably thinks that month is way too bloated with good movies as it is.
