Warner released the second full trailer for Transcendence starring Johnny Depp as an artificial intelligence researcher whose wife (Rebecca Hall) and best friend (Paul Bettany) upload his consciousness to a computer after he’s shot by anti-technology extremists. Damn hippies, always shooting at our absurdly-attractive scientists.
The film is directed by Wally Pfister a first-time director and long-time cinematographer for Christopher Nolan. His cinematography background definitely shows in this trailer. It may have been more violent and strange than I was expecting, but damn it if the grey goo isn’t going to look pretty.
Transcendence opens April 18th, 2014.
