Sometimes in the course of a day, I’ll stumble across a headline that will be worded in a way that absolutely captures me, and then I’ll read the post to find out that the story is completely different. Of course, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that celebrity gossip sites are public enemy No. 1 when it comes to this behavior, and it’s okay. I get it. We do it occasionally, too, but I feel terrible about it and cry at night, thinking about all of the people I’ve misled.
But the practice has led me to amp up my bullsh*t detector, and now I actually miss out on some stories because I don’t believe a headline. Case in point – Channing Tatum and Jason Stathan opened the Saints & Sinners restaurant in New Orleans last weekend, and I missed that because I thought, “No f*cking way these guys are friends and hanging out.” They are. They did. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!1! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
In case you forgot, Saints & Sinners is Bourbon Street’s newest restaurant, and C-Tates is one of the co-owners. Apparently he has been there a few times since the opening, but only once with the Stath and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. My goodness, this may have been the best-looking double date ever.
But Rosie had some strong competition in the style stakes from Channing’s wife Jenna, who looked incredible in a long-sleeved metallic minidress.
She finished off the outfit with a pair of strappy metallic heels, and a silver headdress to brighten up her jet black hair.
Jenna clung to her husband, man of the moment Channing, as they made their way into the bar, with the Magic Mike star looking dapper in a pair of grey checked trousers, grey shirts and black waistcoat, topped off with his signature beanie hat. (Via the Daily Mail)
Hold on, C-Tates has a signature beanie hat? Since when? I’ve photoshopped 9 million pictures of the guy and I don’t remember a beanie at all.
