Google loves to hide video games in its websites, much to the relief of office drones everywhere. And just in time for the week leading up to Labor Day, they’ve unleashed two more games for everyone trapped in the office while the rest of the floor is on vacation to kill time with, solitaire and tic-tac-toe. Even better, all you have to do is Google them.
Yes, just search “Solitaire” on Google and it’ll pop up a banner you can click. The game’s rather complete for a simple browser game, with easy and hard modes, and it even comes with sound effects if you like hearing cards riffle and the snap of a new card being dealt. It only has the classic version of Solitaire, and Tic-Tac-Toe is of course even more simple. But hey, they’re playable, and what else are you going to do when everybody ditches the office at the same time. Also, while you’re there, Google “What does a cat sound like?” Trust us, it’ll be worth it.
We hope Google keeps upping their game when it comes to browser distractions. They’ve got billions of dollars, after all, a playable suite of Atari classics shouldn’t be that hard. Or maybe encode an entire Super Nintendo emulator into Google. Or maybe Pokémon Go on Maps? Think of the bored office workers, Google?
