Marshawn Lynch, whenever he decides to hang up his cleats, has a real future in comedy, video game commentary, or both. Just like when he played Mortal Kombat with Gronk, Lynch made a beautiful comedy team with Conan O’Brien when he watched gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Why was he chosen for this role, you ask? Why, because he’s in the game!
Conan, wearing an incredibly appropriate “I’m Just Here So I Won’t Get Fined” T-shirt, starts out by trying to get Marshawn to swear a little less, and he’s met with a wonderfully incredulous look. How are you going to tell Beast Mode that he can’t say “blow sh*t up?” That’s one of the most fun phrases in the English language.
As for the game itself, to a non-Call of Duty fan, it looks like overstuffed chaos, and Conan mentioning you can even hack opponents’ systems only adds to the ludicrous amount of things you can do (and might be expected to do) per second. But that’s not why you should watch this video. You should watch it to witness the continuing growth of the bromance between Marshawn and Conan. I can’t imagine the pride that swelled in Conan’s breast when Lynch said, “You the truth, bawse.” Put these guys in a sitcom, please.
