Charlize Theron has been cast in “Prometheus”, Ridley Scott’s kinda-sorta-maybe prequel to “Alien”. Interestingly, though, she’s not actually the lead actress, just with a major supporting part.
Meanwhile, the question of what, precisely, “Prometheus” has to do with any of the “Alien” franchise anyway is something that still hasn’t been answered. Instead of just ‘fessing up to what’s blatantly obvious from the title, that this is a movie about the scientists who engineered the Xenomorphs in the first place, instead you’ve got the cast talking about how it’s not an “Alien” movie, but like an Alien movie and sorta involved with the franchise but not really and overall it sounds a lot like what happens when you corner your best friend about whether or not he’s dating your sister.
