Pictured: Damon, a stack of cash, and a polar bear
When he wasn’t busy insulting January Jones’ acting, Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof signed a seven-figure deal with Disney to write a sci-fi feature film with the working title 1952. Deadline is reporting that “this project isn’t just being conceived for movies only, but that it has multiple platform aspirations”. Oooo, a breakfast cereal and a lunchbox perchance?
Before starting on 1952, Lindelof will have to finish the Star Trek sequel script with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci; they’ve already delivered a 70-page outline of that script to J.J. Abrams for approval. No word yet on what Disney’s sci-fi movie 1952 will be about. We’re hoping it’s about Godzilla trying to prevent the enactment of the peace treaty between Japan and the U.S. in 1952. Who will stop Godzilla? Spoiler alert: magic polar bear.
Also, Damon Lindelof responded to the reports about the seven-figure deal with this:
Worth it.
