UPDATE: Sadly, TMZ reports Nimoy’s funeral was held at 9 a.m. in California. Shatner’s flight was still in the air at the time, so he didn’t make it back in time.
One of the other misconceptions seems to be that folks think flights to LAX occur all night long.

Yesterday, William Shatner took to Twitter to express dismay at his inability to attend Leonard Nimoy’s funeral in Los Angeles. The former Star Trek star was scheduled to appear at a charity event in Florida today, but he still took the time to share memories with fans and answer their questions.
According to The New York Post, however, Shatner was photographed by paparazzi arriving at LAX around noon. Shatner hasn’t commented on the photos, and the time of Nimoy’s service wasn’t public knowledge. Even so, it’s nice to think Captain Kirk made it there just in time to say goodbye to his friend.
