There’s been rumblings for a while, but today Square-Enix officially announced the next installment in the critically acclaimed Deus Ex series.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be a direct sequel to the surprisingly good Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The game will take place two years after the events of Human Revolution in a world where the divide between regular humans and those with cybernetic augmentations is deeper than ever. Square-Enix has also teased that Adam Jensen may be heading towards a big showdown with the Illuminati (they were revealed to be behind a lot of the events in Human Revolution).
The Mankind Divided trailer is all pre-rendered, but it does hint at a lot of interesting stuff, and shows off some new powers for Adam Jensen. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming for PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in 2016.
