Late last week information leaked that we’d be getting two Assassin’s Creed games this year, one for the Xbox 360/PS3 and one for next-gen consoles. The next-gen game would be titled Assassin’s Creed Unity and take place during the French Revolution.
Rather than do the usual “we don’t comment on rumors” run-around, Ubisoft decided to just go for it, confirmed the game exists and released a short trailer. The trailer doesn’t impart too much information, but the streets of Paris are certainly looking impressively grimy and realistic. Check out the trailer below…
According to Ubisoft, they’ve been working on this particularly entry in the Assassin’s Creed series for over three years, and everything you saw in that trailer was done in-engine. Now, when are we going to learn something about that other Assassin’s Creed game we’re supposed to be getting this year?

They need to start the “Templar’s Creed/Oath” franchise with another pirate game.
I am 99% sure the “other Assassin’s Creed game” is exactly that, but with boats. Because goddamnit, Ubisoft, you are going to give me my boats.
so i have to buy a new system to play this? well by that time ill likely get one any way. but then there’s another coming for 360/ps3? talk about a conflict/struggle.
Yeah. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
I don’t know about this one. If they don’t give me more destroying of war ships and fishing with harpoons, I might be sad.
What if I told you you get to fist Marie Antoinette in this game?
/ A man can dream?
Laughed at that for a good minute, Curse. Well done.
agreed. that was pretty magical, Curse.
