Hot off the news that Daredevil season two will be as steamy as a grate in Hell’s Kitchen comes the promo video above, announcing the season will premiere on March 18. That’s in keeping with the rumor Daredevil would premiere in March instead of April, but not with the rumor that Marvel’s superhero series would pit its binge-watching potential against the opening weekend of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (opening March 25).
Netflix also released a season two synopsis:
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
The Punisher will be played by Jon Bernthal, and Elektra will be played by Elodie Yung. Daredevil will continue to be played by that English guy who didn’t know he was supposed to be blind, but knocked it out of the f*cking park anyway.
