Electrified Wolverine Claws Will Almost Certainly Not End Badly

Surely running thousands of volts through your machined Wolverine claws will not end badly. Surely that’s something absolutely safe. Here, let Hacksmith Master James prove it!

James actually tends to offer more videos of useful advice than insane things you probably shouldn’t try at home, stuff like how to clean your Dremel and how to repair your BlackBerry when you crack a screen. Then, occasionally, he sees videos like the electrified Mjolnir we told you about a while back and does stuff like this:

Probably the best part of the video is where he admits he has absolutely no idea how much voltage is going through these claws, and that he just hooked up a furnace transformer to see what would happen. A lot, apparently!

By the way, if you’re wondering where he got the claws, he made them. The good news is that this doesn’t seem to be very portable, so it’s more of a one-off goof than something that will be found at conventions across the land. The bad news is that we’re pretty sure somebody’s going to try it anyway, so maybe you might want to cosplay as the Shocker at your local comics convention this year.
