Mooninite Nazis comedy Iron Sky, directed by Timo Vuorensola from Finland, is going to be in theaters soon (April 4th in most countries, April 5th in Germany, and April 20th in the UK). After six years in development, a large chunk of the film’s $10 million budget was raised through crowdfunding, including a promotion where donors of $1.50 or more could watch the first five minutes of the film. We’ll save you the buck fifty, because we have the first four and a half minutes below.
Although the movie has only been widely released in Finland thus far, the North American rights have been picked up by Entertainment One, who brought it to the SXSW film festival for a U.S. premiere. Iron Sky doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet, but it’s due to open in 30 more countries on April 4th. [TDW]
We recommend spending the $1.50 we saved you on drugs school. By “school” we meant drugs.
