PETA Would Like You To Feel Bad About Imaginary Video Game Characters Again

I’m just going to come out and say it — PETA has made their best video game parody yet. They’ve been doing these things for a while and most of them have sucked, partly due to PETA choosing weird games to target. They made Cooking Mama into an evil butcher because some of the “recipes” in the Cooking Mama games contain meat. Ehn. They made Mario into a psycho because uh, sometimes he has the power to summon a magical raccoon dog tail? Yeah…okay.

Pokemon on the other hand, actually kind of does have it coming. It’s a game about catching wild animals, stuffing them in tiny balls then forcing them into (adorable) cockfights. There’s a lot more for PETA to work with there.

The result is Pokemon Black & Blue, a surprisingly fun bit of propaganda. You can hit the jump to play it for yourself…

You know, I’d actually play a game about Pokemon rebelling against evil trainers. Also, “Guilt” absolutely should be a real attack in future Pokemon games.
