The first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was actually surprisingly good. Sure, the movie likely won’t be a critical darling, but the trailer had Bebop, Rocksteady, and the Turtle Van and was set to “It’s Tricky” by Run-DMC! Grouting and caulking your bathtub is fun if you play “Tricky” in the background.
Well, the second trailer for TMNT: Out of the Shadows is here, and it sticks to the same formula as the first. We get even more Bebop and Rocksteady footage, and this time everything’s set to “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” by the Beastie Boys. And dammit, it works again! This movie still looks fun! Also, we get some hints at the movie’s plot, such as it is – the ooze is once again central to the story, with it inexplicably having the power to both make mutants and turn mutant turtles human? I’m willing to roll with that, if it results in a grotesque transformation scene where all the Turtles sprout five fingers and and human noses from their reptilian faces.
We also have a new poster for the movie, which makes the modern malformed Turtles look about as dynamic as possible…
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows sky surfs into theaters on June 3.
