Game publishers tend to run a relatively tight ship when it comes to spoilers leaking out, but slip-ups are inevitable. And one of them seems to have revealed a new Assassin’s Creed title on the way.
As part of Ubisoft’s PDF of a recruitment brochure, you can see some smiling developers as they do… some developer things. It involves looking at stuff in front of a lot of paper, and one of those papers has the title Assassins’ Creed: Golden Age on it.
Now, which game this refers to is anybody’s guess. It could, of course, be the official title of Assassin’s Creed: Victory, but of late Ubisoft’s tended to avoid using codenames for its games altogether. No, if I had to guess, and I do, it’s in my contract, this is the game after Victory, although Ubisoft isn’t shy about putting out a ton of games under one franchise.
Also of interest in the photo is that the title is next to a bunch of tall ships. Considering that Victory has a worrying lack of boats in what little we’ve seen of it, it’d be neat if Ubisoft could bring that back to the series. Or they could follow through on the game they were knocking around that would be all ship-to-ship combat. Either way, guys: Boats.
