15 days until Back to the Future Day: Soon you’ll be able to quench your thirst for Pepsi Perfect

2015 is a big year for “Back to the Future.” The beloved film celebrates 30 years (a “nice round number”) since its release. October 21, 2015 marks the date that Doc and Marty travel to in “Back to the Future Part II.” Great Scott, this is heavy! Join us here as we count down to the festivities on this red letter date in the history of movies.

Pepsi Perfect no longer exists merely in Cafe “80s in Hill Valley. Now “Back to the Future” fans can buy the soda that Marty ordered when he traveled 30 years into the future. Pepsi is releasing a limited edition Pepsi Perfect bottle.

Fortunately, it won”t be quite as pricey as it was in “Back to the Future Part II” (Doc gave Marty a $50 bill to order the drink). Fans can purchase the collectable soda for $20.15 (of course).

Pepsi”s website says the drink will be available on Amazon on October 21, but USA Today also reports that Pepsi encourages fans to check the company”s social media pages closer to October 21 for more details on where to get the collectable.

Another way to get the drink: Dress up as Marty and go to New York Comic Con. Pepsi will be handing out 1,500 of the 16.9-ounce bottles to fans dressed as Michael J. Fox”s character at the con this coming weekend. The rest of the Pepsi Perfect supply is limited to 6,500 bottles, filled with the Pepsi Made With Real Sugar flavor.

Pepsi even released a commercial for Pepsi Perfect, complete with an earworm jingle:

“The taste of a 2K generation,” eh? It rings bells of the time Fox promoted the drink that was “the choice of a new generation”:
