19 questions from ‘Smart Girls’ that dared to change the Emmys red carpet conversation

Since time immemorial – or 1989 – the red carpet has been the place for celebrities to gather in front of live cameras for the world at home. But what if there was another way? Amy Poehler”s Smart Girls is an organization dedicated to helping girls (and boys) be true to themselves. The group values intelligence and imagination above “fitting in.” Along that vein, Smart Girls often signal boosts the achievements of young people on social media and hosts a a variety of ways to keep girls interested in STEM fields.
