Adam Lambert unveils details on new single and album

Adam Lambert had some very good news for his fans: they can expect a new single next month… perhaps.

Late Sunday night, the season eight “American Idol” runner up Lambert went on a tweet tear: first he teased “I”m working hard this week and next to finish up all these amazing new tunes! Thank you all for staying patient… I”m excited too.”

That was quickly followed up with I”m 90% sure the first single will be out next month(ish). Album coming early 2012.”

Lambert then added, “There is still lots of work to be done but I promise you won”t be disappointed.”

The new album, which Lambert has been working on since February,  will be the follow-up to “For Your Entertainment,” released by 19/RCA in November 2009. The album featured the Grammy-nominated “Whataya Want From Me.”

Only a little info about the new album has surfaced: Lambert played a new song, “Outlaws of Love,” at a show July 29. It”s believed to be on the new album. The dramatic ballad features the same guitar sound as “Whataya Want From Me.”  When we caught up with Lambert in April, he said the focus would be on his vocals: “I think the most important thing for me to keep in mind as a songwriter and as a vocalist now is that my fans want to here my voice, first and foremost. And I think kind of our general rule in songwriting is that it has to come from the heart; it has to be real.” https://www.hitfix.com/blogs/the-beat-goes-on/posts/interview-adam-lambert-talks-new-album-idol-and-his-favorite-song

Lambert also recently switched management from Simon Fuller”s 19 Entertainment to Direct Management Group, the firm that manages Katy Perry.
