TNT's “Legends” debuts August 13, and one thing is for certain about the crime series based on Robert Littell's book “Legends: A Novel of Dissimulation:” It's going to be an extraordinary showcase for star Sean Bean, the “Game of Thrones” alum who plays undercover FBI agent Martin Odum. While tackling every case, Odum changes personalities and becomes a different “legend” to solve the crime — and every embodied legend has his own life and lifestyle. Is he crazy? Maybe. But the thrill is watching Odum question his own sanity as his transitions seamlessly into his new identities.
Fortunately, Odum's costars are a bit more down to Earth, at least in theory: Crystal McGuire (Ali Larter) plays his fellow operative who has her own personal history with the mysterious guy. We interviewed Larter at Comic-Con to discuss Bean's acting, the sly complexities of her character, and whether “Legends” is crazier than Larter's most melodramatic movie, “Obsessed.”
