“Parks and Recreation” star Amy Poehler arrived at the 2013 Film Festival with her new comedy film “A.C.O.D.”
The actress spoke to HitFix’s Dan Fienberg about playing “Parks and Rec” co-star Adam Scott’s step mother in the film (in the video above).
Although they play lovers on the hit NBC comedy, Poehler and Scott play characters who hate each other in “A.C.O.D.,” which explores how divorce affects children even after they grow up.
“Parks” fans may have a hard time buying their on-screen animosity, and may even see the rivalry as a form of flirtation. “We can’t turn off the chemistry,” Poehler quipped. “What can I say?”
The actress also revealed that signed on for the film because she always wanted to work with comedy legend Catherine O’Hara (“SCTV” and all those Christopher Guest mockumentaries), as well as Richard Jenkins (“The Visitor,” “Cabin in the Woods”).
She also briefly discusses hosting the Golden Globes with pal Tina Fey.
“A.C.O.D.” (which stands for “Adult Children of Divorce”) also stars Jane Lynch, Clark Duke and Jessica Alba, and will be released this summer.
