John Constantine lives! The NBC show may have suffered an untimely demise, but the character lives on in next week”s episode of “Arrow.” With Sara Lance not quite herself after a dip in the Lazarus Pit, desperate times call for desperate measures. And when dealing with the veil between life and death, who else would Oliver Queen call but the Hellblazer?
But what was it like for Matt Ryan to slip back into the Constantine groove? Like riding a bike, according to his co-star, Oliver Queen.
Stephen Amell: “Matt Ryan was really fantastic on the show. The first scene that we shot together, we did the first take and then he just starts jumping up and down [shaking out his hands] and going “I've gotta find him again, I've gotta find him again, I've gotta find him again” because he hadn't played the character in so long.
The first episode of every year for me, the first day I'm always [convinced] “I was the worst I've ever been,” and then you go back and you see it and it's fine. So he was just finding [Constantine] again.”
