The gang”s all here! All the Bellas – Beca Mitchell (Anna Kendrick), Aubrey Posen (Anna Camp), Chloe Beale (Brittany Snow), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Cynthia-Rose Adams (Ester Dean), Stacie Conrad (Alexis Knapp), Lily Onakuramara (Hana Mae Lee), and Jessica (Kelly Alice Jakle) – return to go from national to international competition in the “Pitch Perfect” sequel.
A few new faces will be joining the Bellas as well: Hailee Steinfeld and Chrissie Fit. In a non-a capella roll, “Sons of Anarchy” star Katey Sagal will play Steinfeld's mom.
The sequel picks up three years after the last movie. The Bellas have been decimating the collegiate competition, but after an unknown monkey wrench prevents them from entering college-level tournaments the ladies take their brand to the world of professional a capella competition.

In 2012, the first “Pitch Perfect” film became the second highest grossing musical comedy of all time – right behind “School of Rock” – with an astronomically high female audience turn-out rate of 81% on opening weekend. Its runaway success was a surprise only in whatever pocket universe still has a stranglehold on stereotyping women as non-vital target demographic. With a strong commercially successful female-led comedy ensembles, that preconceived notion is slowly but surely crumbling under the weight of empirical evidence to the contrary.
“Pitch Perfect 2” hits theaters on May 15, 2015.
