‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 teases you can’t change the past (but you can watch it)

This April, Bran returns to “Game of Thrones.” In the first teaser trailer for the Season 6, you can hear the young warg having a discussion with Max von Sydown about the nature of time. von Sydown takes over for Struan Rodger, who played the Three-Eyed Raven in the Season 4 episode “The Children.” You know, the guy stuck in the tree.

WARNING: “GAME OF THRONES” SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT.

After a season away from the Children of the Forest and the weir woods and the STILL MISSING Coldhands, “Game of Thrones” is returning to the ancient magic of Westeros in a big way. Having Bran discuss the nature of the past “The ink is dry,” opens the door to many exciting flashbacks.

Once Bran takes over for Brynden Rivers in the weirwood tree, will the show delve into the machinations of how current events came to be? Will we see the Knight of the Laughing Tree? The Tower of Joy? With Ser Barristan dead and Howland Reed still not cast, perhaps it will be up to Bran to reveal Jon Snow”s true parentage.

Regardless, magic is back in the Seven Kingdoms in a big way come 2016 and things will never be the same again.
