(CBR) It”s well established by now that J.J. Abrams frequently casts childhood friend Greg Grunberg in television and film projects, ranging from “Felicity” and “Alias” to “Lost” and “Star Trek.”
So it”s to be expected for fans to wonder whether the “Heroes” veteran might appear in the Abrams movie everyone”s speculating about – “Star Wars: Episode VII.” The answer, perhaps, is just as expected.
Asked on Twitter, “Hey, is it pretty safe to say that you”re gonna have a minor cameo in 'Episode VII' like all of his other movies #luckycharm?” Grunberg replied, “Yes @smgulz it IS safe to assume I have a role in #StarWarsEpisodeVII – If I say more than that, JJ will have me killed.”
Grunberg joins a cast that includes “Star Wars” veterans Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, and franchise newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong”o and Gwendoline Christie.
Star Wars: Episode VII opens Dec. 18, 2015.
