Alice Through the Looking Glass and The Huntsman: Winter's War turned out to be sequels no one really wanted. Will J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter prequel spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them successfully bust loose from the franchise? Check out the latest poster which features the remnants of something else that got loose.
What we've seen so far from this spinoff film has been pretty exciting but it's hard to tell if the magical pull will remain without Harry, Hermione, Ron, and pretty much every other character fans have come to love. Rowling is making her screenwriting debut expanding from her book of the same name and David Yates is directing so those are certainly two items in the pro column.

It looks like something very large just made its way (aggressively) through New York City there. They gave a bit more info out on their Facebook page saying specifically, “A new piece of art to celebrate a new era of the Wizarding World! And stay tuned because something FANTASTIC at #vidcon2016 is being announced soon…”
I suppose it could just be a new full trailer but VidCon is a yearly celebration of online video, so I'm thinking there could be room for some interactive fan fun.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be released November 18, 2016 and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Ezra Miller, Carmen Ejogo, Faith Wood-Blagrove, Jon Voight and Ron Perlman. The screenplay for the film, much like the script for the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be available in book form for all those completists out there.
