Is ‘Mad Max’ director George Miller about to give us the most visionary Superman movie ever?

Attention: we are in the midst of a nerdgasm.

In news that's sure to thrill fans of the Superman movie franchise (and superhero movies in general), “Mad Max: Fury Road” director George Miller may be taking the helm of the next “Man of Steel” sequel. That's at least according to Jon Schnepp, director of the forthcoming documentary “The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?”, which focuses on the ill-fated Nicolas Cage/Tim Burton Superman film that died in development hell back in the 1990s.

How does Schnepp know this? He doesn't say, so let's treat this as a rumor until we get more details. As Comicbook.com notes, Miller was previously attached to helm DC's first attempt at a “Justice League” movie several years ago, before “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder took the helm.

Watch the video below (h/t Popcorn Talk) for Schnepp's comments.
