It”s September 1, and any “Harry Potter” fan knows what that means: Today”s the first day of school at Hogwarts.
September 1, 2015, however marks a particularly special return to the witchcraft and wizardry school: It”s the first year at Hogwarts for little James Sirius Potter, Harry and Ginny”s eldest son, who we get a glimpse of in the epilogue to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
J.K. Rowling tweeted James her well wishes:
I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts

She must have been inundated with tweets in reply, cause she later had this concern:
Now worried that he'll be irritated by the number of people saying hi. https://t.co/6keaEOsKS0

And she also revealed which Hogwarts houses had claimed little James and Teddy Lupin (orphan son of Remus and Tonks).
Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed.

The epilogue to Rowling”s final book in the series gave readers a peek at the goodbyes at King”s Cross Station on the first day of school for Albus Severus, Harry”s younger son. Fans will recall that Albus is having some anxiety about the Sorting Hat. This makes all the more sense now that we know the kid has a mother, a father, four grandparents, a handful of maternal uncles and an older brother who are Gryffindors. Talk about the pressure of family legacy.
