Johnny Depp is coming for you in new ‘Black Mass’ trailer

Johnny Depp is coming for you haters.  Sure, you mocked him for a string of bombs over the past few years including “Lone Ranger,” “Transcendence” and “Mortdecai,” but now word is spreading that he delivers the performance of a lifetime as mobster Whitey Bulger in the new drama “Black Mass.”  Warner Bros. released a new trailer for the Scott Cooper directed flick today and, well, Johnny's coming for you.

Of course, this is all highly speculative. I mean, Depp is usually the most wonderful, affable and humble superstars you'll ever meet in person.   But, does it look like he's letting a little bit of his frustrations out playing Bulger?  Would you blame him if he was?

Ponder these thoughts as you check out the new preview embedded at the top of this post.  It's got a lot more Joel Edgerton (who did a fantastic job writing and directing “The Gift” by the way), Benedict Cumberbatch (does this man ever take a vacation?) and Corey Stoll (back to back with “Ant-Man”) for your viewing pleasure.

Oh, and there's this new poster which you can check out below. Frankly, it makes me think we'll all be in big trouble if we don't see the movie.

“Black Mass” will screen at every major film festival before it opens nationwide on Sept. 18.
