Joss Whedon Quietly Put Out New ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer” Content On Twitter

The best part of Twitter, for fans of any entertainment medium, is the tantalizing possibility that one day their favorite celebrity might deign to notice them. Even if only in 140 characters or less. But usually the fan has to initiate the coveted – if fleeting – attention. So when Thought Otter casually said 'Joss Whedon' into the social media void on July 5th with no context or '@' they probably didn't expect a reply. But they got one anyway. This is what followed.

Apparently Joss Whedon shares a family history with the likes of The Candyman, Bloody Mary, and Beetlejuice…mythical creatures capable of being summoned with merely their name. But in the hustle and bustle of this day and age, one cannot wait for a wayward teenager to say their name THREE WHOLE TIMES. Nay, once is enough for the venerable Whedon to appear to grant a single wish.

And what did ThoughtOtter wish for? More 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' of course! So for the first time in 11 years (if you don't count the graphic novels), Whedon produced a new piece of Buffy content. Behold!

Look, I don't know what you expected on such short notice. Granting wishes isn't as easy as certain blue djinn with Disney money make it look. You'll take this benevolent gift to the Whedonverse and you will BE GRATEFUL.
