Fandemonium: Spelling Bee champs put to the test

After too many rounds to count and words too difficult for most of us to spell, Jairam Hathwar and Nihar Janga were named co-champs at the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee on May 26.

The competition was a nail biter, with both Hathwar and Janga coming perilously close to losing at different times in the final round. But they pushed past these problems. Hathwar secured the tie spelling “Feldenkrais,” while Janga closed out the tournament by correctly spelling “gesellschaft.”  

The two recently stopped by HitFix while taking their victory lap. But since they already know how to spell basically every word in the English language, we tested them on something completely different.
