Netflix's Marvel-filled slate is about to get even Marvel-ier: the streaming platform has ordered a series based on The Punisher.

Entertainment Weekly says Jon Bernthal will reprise the role he played so well in Daredevil's second season. Steve Lightfoot will serve as showrunner, which could indicate we're in for some really dark stuff; he was the showrunner for Hannibal as well.
No word yet on a series premiere date.
