Netflix aired a very appropriate commercial during the Emmy Awards last night, where women ruled. Intelligence, motherhood, soul, superpowers, and more were praised.
If you missed the big show be sure to check out Alan Sepinwall's review. But if you were watching live you probably caught this commercial in which Netflix applauded the women featured on the streaming service.
The commercial also gave us footage from the upcoming American-British television drama The Crown from Peter Morgan. It's a 10-part series that features Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Doctor Who's Matt Smith as Prince Philip. Take a look…
You know Netflix included Jessica Jones just so she wouldn't beat them up.
Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany's win for Best Actress yesterday also afforded her time to share a similar sentiment about TV saying “I feel so lucky to be on a show that puts women at the center.”
