Rumors have been swirling for weeks that “X-Men: Apocalypse” would introduce more iconic mutants that fans know and love. Now director Bryan Singer has confirmed that yes, audiences will see a young Storm, Cyclops, and Jean-Grey join the fight against Apocalypse.
Not only that, but the three characters have already been cast. Meet the newest mutants: Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, and Tye Sheridan.

Alexandra Shipp is best known for her turn as Aaliyah in the biopic “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” and as KT Rush on the Nickelodeon show “House of Anubis.”
Sophie Turner burst onto the scene as Sansa Stark in the mega-hit HBO show “Game of Thrones.”
Relative newcomer Tye Sheridan co-starred with in Matthew McConaughey in the 2012 film “Mud.”
“X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
