With Jon Stewart”s run as host of “The Daily Show” in its last days, President Barack Obama stopped by the popular late night program to say goodbye. He used the appearance to tout his administration”s accomplishments as he is in the last lap of his presidency.

“A lot of the work that we did early starts bearing fruit late,” Obama explained in what was his seventh appearance on the show. He  referenced the recent successes of the Iran nuclear negotiations and Obamacare.

With less than a 18 months to go until the end of his second term, Obama says that he”s going to make climate change an important part of his agenda. A key component of that is getting other major industrial powers on board.

“If we can get China and India and some of the other big countries to look at what we've already done and finally get something global, that would start addressing [global warming],” Obama says.

While they also spoke about Middle East conflicts, the skyrocketing costs of college education and the media, the conversation wasn”t all politics. The two took a moment to poke a little fun at the outspoken Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

Obama says with a smirk, ”I”m sure the Republicans are enjoying Mr. Trump's dominance of their primary.”

“Anything that makes them look less crazy,” Stewart replies.
