Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans walk the red carpet for ‘Captain America’ sequel

Last night, the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles played host to the world premiere of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”  The sequel to “Captain America: The First Avenger” sees Chris Evans reprising his role as the titular hero and Scarlett Johansson playing Black Widow once more.  Naturally, both were on the red carpet, as was the Winter Soldier himself, Sebastian Stan, and Jeremy Renner and Emily VanCamp.

“The Winter Soldier” is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.  The tale will find lovable old Cap living in DC following the events of “The Avengers” and, as one might expect, trying to acclimate himself to the modern day.  Then, as the official synopsis puts it, “When a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.”

The new movie opens in theaters on April 4th, and it was just announced that the third “Captain America” film will go head-to-head with the not-yet-definitively titled “Batman Vs. Superman” movie on May 6, 2016.  For now though, don't worry about that, just check out the gallery below and tell us what you think.
