Twenty-five years ago, Merv Griffin (who would've turned 90 a few days ago) tried turning Monopoly into a game show. Was the show a success? Absolutely not. Was the theme song a total earworm that will infect your whole life? Definitely.
Check out “Monopoly,” which used a cool light-up version of the original board. Players answered crossword-type clues to earn the chance to move along the properties. It's so early '90s! And it's not too fun.
