‘The Walking Dead’ threatens us with more Negan in new key art

New key art from AMC”s upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead is here and it”s as Negan-centric as you”d expect. With only a few weeks remaining until the premiere, TWD is really hammering home how big of deal Negan will be. This is no fly-by-night antagonist like the Terminus or the Wolves (though I”d still love to catch back up with the latter). Instead, the show seems to be pivoting into a new era. One where sides are chosen and long-term character arcs are possible for those outside The Group.

Or, as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) says in the new art:

AMC also put out a new cut of footage that features the other side of this new world. The Kingdom of King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) is looking pretty diverse if I do say so myself. Now if the show can manage to keep from killing them all, we”ll be golden.

Of course, there”s also a Negan video because he is the Marcia Brady of The Walking Dead at this point. Negan, Negan, Negan! We get it, AMC. He's not A bad guy. He's THE bad guy.

The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 9/8c on AMC.
