Can't wait until the official December 11 premiere of “Transparent”? You may not have to.
Amazon is making the first episode of its massively successful show's second season available tonight for Amazon Prime subscribers in the US, according to Deadline. It'll show up on the service at 8 pm Eastern time. But even subscribers will have to wait until December 11 to see the rest of the new season.
“Transparent,” which tells the story of Maura Pfefferman's late-in-life transition and the dysfunctional family around her, was nominated for 11 Emmys last year and won five of them, including Best Actor for Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Pfefferman, and Outstanding Directing for creator Jill Soloway.
Today also marks the last day of Transgender Awareness Month, so it's nice that “Transparent” just managed to get in there.
