TV Ratings: ‘Dancing,’ ‘Voice’ finales lead Tuesday, ‘Flash’ leads scripted

The 20th season finale for “Dancing with the Stars” led ABC to a Tuesday win overall, while the eighth season finale for “The Voice” helped NBC reign among young viewers.

Although they were both down double digits from the fall finales, the “Dancing” and “Voice” closers were comfortably Tuesday's top shows in most measures, though the first finale for “The Flash” was the night's top scripted show among young viewers and helped The CW tie for first on the night among men 18-49.

Let's get to the numbers…

Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.4 rating for Tuesday night, edging out ABC's 2.2 rating in the key demographic. FOX's 1.3 key demo rating finished third for the night, followed by The CW's 1.0 key demo rating. CBS was fifth for the night with a 0.9 key demo rating.

Overall, though, ABC averaged an estimated 11.22 million viewers and a 7.3 rating/12 share for Tuesday primetime, topping the 10.15 million viewers and 6.3/11 for NBC. CBS was third overall for the night with 7.59 million viewers and a 4.9/8. FOX's 2.1/4 and 3.42 million viewers topped the 2.73 million viewers and 1.7/3 for The CW on the night.

8 p.m. – CBS' repeat of “NCIS” won the 8 p.m. hour overall with 9.075 million viewers, finishing fifth with a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49. NBC's “The Voice” recap show averaged 7.73 million viewers and a 1.6 key demo rating for second. ABC's “The Bachelorette” was third with 7.05 million viewers and first with a 1.9 key demo rating. The CW's “Flash” finale averaged 3.71 million viewers for fourth and a 1.4 key demo rating for there, comfortably winning the hour in all young male demos. FOX's “Hell's Kitchen” was fifth with 3.5 million viewers and fourth with a 1.2 key demo rating.

9 p.m. – The first hour of ABC's “Dancing with the Stars” finale led the 9 p.m. frame with 12.83 million viewers and finished second with a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49, compared to the 11.05 million viewers and 2.7 key demo rating for NBC's “The Voice.” CBS' “NCIS: New Orleans” was third with 7.26 million viewers and fourth with a 0.9 key demo rating. FOX's “Hell's Kitchen” averaged 3.34 million viewers for fourth and a 1.3 key demo rating for third. The CW's “iZombie” trailed with 1.76 million viewers and a 0.7 key demo rating.

10 p.m. – The end of the “Dancing” finale averaged 13.79 million viewers and a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49 for ABC in the 10 p.m. hour, again compared to the 11.66 million viewers and 3.0 key demo rating for the end of NBC's “Voice” finale. Another “NCIS” repeat averaged 6.43 million viewers and a 0.9 key demo rating for CBS
