‘Valerian’ version of the United Nations is WAY more fashion forward than boring Earth

Director Luc Besson (Lucy, The 5th Element) has been gleefully sharing photos from the set of his upcoming film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets on Instagram for months now. Each new image is another tantalizing glimpse into the technicolor sci-fi madness Besson is known for. From motion capture actors with labels like “Pauline Empress” stuck to their chests to complex wire rigging holding the cast aloft in “space,” the scope of Valerian lives up to its graphic novel roots.

Now Besson is introducing us to the United Human Federation. How they play into this sci-fi trip through time and space is unknown, but as they”re all entering through the “Universal Docking Port,” it”s safe to say this a SPACE MEETING™. These two are probably just the tip of the iceberg.
