As one iteration of the X-Men franchise ends with X-Men: Apocalypse, a new one is starting to come together. And it looks like Cyclops is going to have a significant role going forward.
Tye Sheridan, who will play Scott Summers/Cyclops in the forthcoming Apocalypse, told Entertainment Weekly that he”s confirmed for two more X-Men movies.
The 19-year-old actor will join Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Munn, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman and a gaggle of other crime-fighting superheroes in Apocalypse. The movie will be directed by four-time X-Men director Bryan Singer.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release.
