You know a movie’s pretty popular when even its deleted scenes get their own trailer. Yup, the home video release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is almost here, so Lucasfilm has cut together a teaser for the extra scenes we’ll be getting on Blu-ray and digital HD.
The teaser, which you can check out above, mostly focuses on two scenes – we get an extended look at Kylo Ren invading the Millennium Falcon, and an extra scene featuring Han Solo from the First Order’s attack on Maz Kanata’s castle. After that, we get a number of brief flashes – Finn on a table surrounded by strange aliens, Rey looking flustered, Kylo Ren in a snowy landscape and more.
We actually already know a fair amount about what The Force Awakens‘ deleted scenes have in store for us. There will be around seven scenes, and aside from the footage in the teaser, we know there will be a bit where Maz Kanata shows off her Force powers, and an extension of the “Rey’s vision” scene. All told, the extra scenes should amount to around 10 minutes of footage.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on digital HD on April 1, and Blu-ray on April 5.
