A Secret Sniper Is Apparently Knocking Off High-Ranking Members Of ISIS

ISIS has become infamous for the terrorist attacks and beheadings that it has carried out as a wide-spanning network. However, they’re now being scared by a secret sniper in Libya, who has apparently already killed three top ISIS commanders in the “caliphate” of Sirte, Libya.

According to The Telegraph, the sniper has “sowed panic” among ISIS in Libya, with rumors that he was trained during the uprising against former dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Sirte also happens to be Gaddafi’s hometown.

The mystery sniper has quickly become a folk hero among Sirte’s population, which resents ISIS’ brutal rule. As a result, many have watched Enemy at the Gates, a film in which Jude Law plays a Soviet sniper against Hitler’s army in Russia during World War II, making comparisons between that character and the sniper.

The sniper’s third attack was allegedly on ISIS commander Abdullah Hamad Al-Ansari, as he left a mosque on January 23, 2016. Before that, people believed he killed an official in a newly convened Sharia court as he left a hospital earlier in January, apparently causing ISIS officials to go into a state of panic, randomly shooting in the air while searching for the gunman.

Locals online have relished this panic and are speculating as to who the sniper is. They’ve even speculated that he’s an American special forces solider. However, if he or she wants to remain successful, they will likely have to remain anonymous, despite whatever fanfare they’d receive.
