There’s a good chance that at least one snarky Millennial is currently serving Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign as a speechwriter, a social media intern, or both. Earlier this month, the presumptive Democratic nominee’s Twitter account told Republican rival Donald Trump to delete his account, resulting in a veritable cavalcade of internet trollery. Even potential running mate Elizabeth Warren got in on the action, telling Trump to do the same after the presumptive Republican nominee began insulting her. Which leads us to Tuesday, June 21, when Clinton zinged the New York real estate mogul’s business record during a speech in Ohio.
“Donald Trump has said he’s qualified to be president because of his business record,” Clinton told the crowd. “So let’s take a look at what he did for his business. He’s written a lot of books about business. They all seem to end at Chapter 11.”
The audience cheered, Clinton smiled and nodded her head in humorous agreement, and the hypothetical speechwriter-cum-tweeter-cum-flannel enthusiast earned an immediate raise. Especially when Clinton’s official Twitter account simultaneously tweeted the Chapter 11 gag.
Trump has written a lot of books about business—but they all seem to end at Chapter 11.

As of this writing, it boasts over 9,000 retweets and 15,000 likes, so the party responsible can probably afford flannel made from humanely raised wool. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign couldn’t resist the urge to respond to Clinton’s joke with nine tweets. Why? Because this is the Donald, so one wouldn’t be enough:
Hillary says this election is about judgment. She's right. Her judgement has killed thousands, unleashed ISIS and wrecked the economy.

How can Hillary run the economy when she can't even send emails without putting entire nation at risk?

Hillary Clinton's open borders immigration policies will drive down wages for all Americans – and make everyone less safe.

I am "the king of debt."That has been great for me as a businessman, but is bad for the country. I made a fortune off of debt, will fix U.S.

Hillary defrauded America as Secy of State. She used it as a personal hedge fund to get herself rich! Corrupt, dangerous, dishonest.

Hell, he even threw in a short video on Instagram:
Meanwhile, the rest of Twitter — #ImWithHer Millennials and Trump trolls alike — decided to weigh in on Clinton’s comedic skills (or lack thereof):

A personal favorite, however, was NBC News foreign Correspondent Kary Tur’s simple-yet-efficient tweet:
Chapter 11.

No one-liners, followups or insults. Just 11 characters repeating the “Chapter 11” phrase from Clinton’s joke, thereby ensuring her post would garner some good SEO and a place in lists like this one.
