Looks like it isn’t yet the appropriate time for Donald Trump to start acting “presidential.” Here’s video of Trump wishing that he could punch an unseen protester in the face.
“Ah, I love the old days, you know?” Trump starts off saying. This is because, now in our un-fun PC times, presidential campaign teams aren’t allowed to hit back at disruptive audience members anymore. Here’s his color commentary on who this guy is, and what would have been done to him way back when.
You know what I hate? There’s a guy, totally disruptive, throwing punches. We’re not allowed to punch back anymore. I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.
The crowd, of course, cheers.
Trump laments that, in modern times, his guards have to treat protesters nicely when they escort him out. But Trump won’t hold back with his verbal jabs: “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell ya.”
Yet there’s been more than implied violence at past Trump rallies. His supporters once roughed up a Black Lives Matter protester, and one protester at a New York rally was thrown to the floor.
Also, the protester may not have been violent with Trump’s guards? That’s what CNN reports, anyway.
