If the upcoming Roger Ailes television miniseries needs any more source material, chances are the showrunners could turn to Fox News personality Megyn Kelly for a few juicy tidbits. That’s because The Kelly File host, who spoke with investigators regarding allegations of sexual harassment levied against Ailes before his forced resignation, is including a brand new chapter about the ordeal in her forthcoming book, Settle for More. A book that, we should mention, is scheduled to hit bookstore shelves in less than a month.
According to Vanity Fair, Kelly “added a chapter to her book” about the Ailes investigation and her participation in it. Aside from speaking with lawyers from Paul, Weiss behind closed doors, the Fox News anchor hasn’t addressed the matter publicly. Considering Settle for More‘s upcoming November 15 release date and her professional career’s many non-Fox News options, however, it seems Kelly’s new chapter will serve as her tackling the inevitable questions head-on.
Possibly trashing a former employer may seem unbecoming of Kelly. Considering the new contract 21st Century Fox CEO and co-chairman James and Lachlan Murdoch want her to sign, it seems the Fox News brass doesn’t care what Kelly may or may not say about Ailes. As Vanity Fair contributing editor Sarah Ellison revealed, “The brothers have just recently asked her to re-sign before she goes on book tour, on a whole speaking tour. Before everyone’s going to ask her what she’s going to do, they want to lock her in.”
You go, girl.
