Ask Alan took last week off while I recovered from getting my wisdom teeth out (writing during that period was easy; talking, less so), so because of that – and because some of you will be braving the malls on Black Friday – we give you this week’s installment a few days early.
Unsurprisingly, I got several questions inspired by this week’s “The Walking Dead,” which led me to talk about other shows that frustrated their viewers, as well as other long-running shows where the first episode was arguably the best one. And I tried to explain why even people who know that the Emmys frequently screw things up seem to care so much about the Emmys.
