If you know who Mike Trout is, you probably know he’s really good at baseball. Like, superhuman good. But usually when you think about Trout, you think of his abilities at the plate and on the base-paths.
However, the Angels outfielder is capable of submitting highlights with the glove and with his arm as well. He reminded us of that on Saturday night in Anaheim, when he made this absolutely ridiculous catch in center field to rob a home run.
Trout scales the wall and reaches over the fence to bring back the homer, all while making it look so incredibly easy. That’s kind of his thing. It was a great catch, but was it the best of the year? Was it even the best catch of the week? Mookie Betts submitted his own ‘Catch of the Year’ candidate just one day earlier with a game-ending robbery that preserved a shutout for the Red Sox.
Either way, this is just another example of Trout being a true joy to watch. Thanks for being you, Mike Trout.
