Does The World Really Need A New DoS Attack?

A favorite tool of Anonymous and whiners who think they’re Anonymous, the denial-of-service (DoS) attack is, basically, shutting down a website by making it impossible to connect to the Internet. This is why whenever Facebook annoys nerds, you can’t get on Facebook.

And now professional nerds have discovered a new way to shut down websites and annoy the crap out of everybody: The Slow Read attack.

The Slow Read attack is actually pretty simple: You just contact a server and go very slowly when talking to it.

But unlike other attacks, this one can be done with one computer! And has little chance of being found!

Oh, won’t the Internet just be fun until they patch this one.
